Erwin Schrödinger

(1887 - 1961)

Born in Vienna, the physicist Erwin Schrödinger—known for his work on quantum mechanics—left Germany in 1934, eventually ended up in Dublin, where he established the Institute for Advanced Studies. In 2022 Trinity College Dublin renamed a lecture theater that honored the Nobel Prize winner after the Irish Times reported on his serial abuse of teenage girls.
